Overview
Potty Timer is a potty-training timer and progress-tracking application designed for parents and caregivers.
This privacy policy explains how the Potty Timer application handles information, device permissions, advertising, and locally stored app data.
Potty Timer is published by Cedar Harbor Studios.
Information Stored on Your Device
Potty Timer may store the following information locally on your device:
- potty attempts and results
- dates and times of recorded activity
- timer settings
- alarm and notification preferences
- selected alarm sounds
- progress, streak, milestone, and achievement information
- other app preferences
This information is used to provide the app’s timer, history, progress-tracking, and customization features.
Cedar Harbor Studios does not receive or maintain a server-side copy of this locally stored potty-training history through the current version of the app.
Child Information
Potty Timer is intended to be operated by adult parents and caregivers.
The app may contain child-friendly visuals, rewards, and encouragement intended to support potty training, but it is not intended to be independently operated by young children.
Cedar Harbor Studios does not knowingly collect names, birth dates, photographs, precise locations, contact information, or account information belonging to children through the current version of the app.
Parents and caregivers should avoid entering personally identifying information into free-form fields or exported files.
Advertising
Potty Timer uses Google AdMob to display advertisements.
Google and its advertising partners may process information such as:
- IP address
- device and advertising identifiers
- general device information
- app interactions
- ad impressions, clicks, and performance information
- diagnostic and fraud-prevention information
- approximate location inferred from an IP address
This information may be used to provide, measure, personalize, limit, and secure advertising, depending on the user’s region, consent choices, device settings, and applicable law.
Cedar Harbor Studios does not sell personal information directly.
For more information about how Google handles information, review Google’s privacy policies and advertising disclosures.
Consent and Privacy Choices
Potty Timer uses Google’s User Messaging Platform to request consent or provide privacy choices where required.
When privacy options are available, users may open the app’s Settings screen and select Privacy Choices to review or change applicable consent selections.
The availability and wording of consent options may vary by region.
Notifications, Alarms, and Vibration
Potty Timer may request permission to display notifications and schedule alarms.
These permissions are used to:
- notify the user when a potty timer expires
- play an alarm sound
- vibrate the device
- display timer-related notifications
- support time-sensitive reminders
Notification and alarm permissions can be changed through the device’s system settings.
Custom Alarm Sounds
The app allows users to select compatible audio files from their device for use as custom alarm sounds.
Potty Timer accesses only the file selected through the system file picker. The app may retain permission to read the selected file so it can continue using it as an alarm sound.
Cedar Harbor Studios does not upload selected audio files to its servers through the current version of the app.
CSV Export
Potty Timer may allow users to export history or progress information as a CSV file.
Exported files are created at the user’s request and may contain potty-training activity entered into the app.
Users are responsible for deciding where exported files are saved, shared, or transmitted after creation.
Data Sharing
Potty Timer may share limited device, advertising, diagnostic, and usage information with Google through the Google Mobile Ads SDK and related consent services.
Local potty-training history is not intentionally shared with advertisers through the current version of the app.
Information may also be disclosed when required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, security, or safety of users, Cedar Harbor Studios, or others.
Data Retention and Deletion
Locally stored Potty Timer information remains on the device until it is:
- edited or deleted within the app
- cleared using the app’s available history controls
- removed by clearing the app’s storage
- removed by uninstalling the app
Advertising and consent information processed by Google may be retained according to Google’s own policies.
Data Security
Cedar Harbor Studios takes reasonable steps to limit data collection and keep potty-training information stored locally when practical.
However, no device, application, storage system, or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Third-Party Services
Potty Timer uses third-party services that may process information under their own privacy policies, including:
- Google AdMob
- Google Mobile Ads SDK
- Google User Messaging Platform
- Google Play services
Cedar Harbor Studios is not responsible for the independent privacy practices of third-party providers.
